For games and matches of Warhammer: Invasion, follow the rules, errata, and FAQ found here: Fantasy Flight Website: Warhammer: Invasion Rules & Errata

Weekly Rankings

Weekly Rankings are calculated each Monday morning after a ranking week. Rank is determined by the sum of each players points earned the previous week multiplied by their record for that week as compared to all other players.

Weekly Rank = [(points earned) * (wins/games played)]

  • Note: Minimum (wins/games played) of 0.01. All calculations for this will be between 0.01 and 1.0.

Example: Warbring25 earned 20 points and had a record of 2/3 for the week. Knothole earned 8 points and had a record of 2/2. Callmesport earned 30 points and had a record of 2/6.

Warbringer25: [20 * (.666)] = 13.32
Knothole: [8 * (1)] = 8
Callmesport: [30 * (.333)] = 9.99

Weekly Ranking Result
1 – Warbringer25 (+ 5 points) $3.00 Earnings
2 – Callmesport (+ 3 points) $2.00 Earnings
3 – Knothole (+ 1 points) $1.00 Earnings

Tournaments

There is room in each quarter for up to three tournaments. However, every tournament requires a sponsor. Sponsors can be individual players, groups of players, or the league itself.

Sponsors need to provide prize funds for the tournament pot, but by doing so, he/she/they can set the conditions of the tournament. Prize funds can be generated from the sponsor’s Purse or by posting actual funds.

In order to propose a tournament, sponsors need to provide the following information:

  • Entry Fee (Cost for league members to participate)
  • Tournament Pot (including amount(s) and conditions for winning the pot(s))
  • Tournament Conditions (rule set for the tournament, i.e. Destruction Decks Only, Core Decks Only, etc.)

In the case of multiple proposed tournaments in the same week, a vote will be had with the tournament receiving the most votes to be held that week.

Generally speaking, tournaments have the greatest potential to increase a player’s Earnings while Weekly Rankings have the greatest potential to increase a player’s Points Pool thereby allowing card unlocks that can, potentially, be used in future tournaments.

Betting on Games/Matches

Feel free to bet on games and matches from your Points Pool and/or Purse if you like. There is no requirement to do so, but there’s nothing against a friendly wager.

When posting game/match results, please do not include points or earnings gained though a wager.

Purse and Earnings

Your Purse represents your available currency in the league. Players can increase the funding in their Purse at any time, but can only cash out at the end of a quarter. Funds in your Purse can be used in the following manner:

  • Wagered on a game or match
  • Used to pay a tournament entry fee
  • Used to sponsor a tournament (provide funding for the pot)
  • Used to pay a quarterly entry fee
  • Cashed out at the end of a quarter

Earnings tracks how well you are doing in the league across any give quarter. Earnings come only from league events (Weekly Ranking and Tournaments) and cannot be increased outside of game play. Earnings is not a form of currency that you can spend, that is the function of your Purse. Earnings, much like in professional rodeo, lets you know where you stand as compared to other players in the quarter. Generally speaking, the player with the highest Earnings in a quarter, wins the quarter.

Points Pool

Your Points Pool represents your ability to upgrade your decks. You can purchase (or unlock) any card beyond the core decks by spending 1 point. That card is now unlocked and available to you for play in league games. Unlocked cards can be played in any deck and you can have up to x3 copies of any unlocked cards in your deck (excluding normal restrictions of course, follow all Warhammer: Invasion rule sets regarding deck building).
